Unique photo gift

It was my friends brothers birthday in the States, he was dumbfounded on what to get him. What do you get a guy who has all the toys in the world. The nicest watches and a closet full of clothes. Me being the sales person I am suggested he go to http://www.poppizzaz.com/ and create a unique pop art from a portrait. I mean how can one go wrong with a sentimental gift from a brother !!! After going through all his pictures he decided on a great pic of his brothers kids. Not wanting to deviate away from the basic pop art styles he chose the warhol style. After rounds of changing the design we finally came up with something he was happy with. He was very appreciative of me frequently changing the colours and backround but i told him it was really part of the "poppizzaz experience" God im starting to sound like Anthony Robbins. Anyways we printed it and streched it at the Studio and shipped it out by courier. It had been 3 weeks and my buddy did not here from his brother. Did he not like the painting ? Did it not meet his Brother to Brother gift standards ?

Finally he receivd the phone call- seems his brother was so overwhelmed by the gift he wanted to thank his brother by purchasing his own gift to give him to show his appreciaton. However he could not find the ROLEX he wanted to buy him so finally he called. He loved the Pop art digital painting of his kids but most of all loved uniqness of the gift.

I asked my buddy if i could score the ROLEX, im still waiting !!!

The warhol of his Kids is whats posted.

Copy right and custom pop art

I had met her on a cold winter night. It was the month of February and ventured out on a Artic night to meet her for dinner. To my surprise she was even cuter in person then her picture. After a few glasses of wine and some laughs we decided we would go out again. We were supposed to meet the following week but she had come down with a bad cold but reasured me that she wanted to go out again "I really want to see you again but cannot move from my bed "

It was all good i thought, however after weeks of not hearing from her i began to worry. She did not respond to my emails and i was concerned that maybe she was very sick. It was a real mystery to me, we had fun and it was to the point where i told her it was ok if she had reservations but just wanted to know she was ok. A few months followed and she informed me that she had tumors in her stomach but after weeks of waiting for the pathology had found out thet were benign. We spoke and I was very sympathetic about her condition and what she had gone through. We finally met at the dog run with her dog Copper and told her i was going to take a picture of her dog and make a custom portait. She was excited since she was decorating her place and knew exactly where she was going to hang it. For some reason or other the painitng was done but she never picked it up. Months past and I emailed her telling her the painitng was waiting for her. Im my emails and conversations i always enquired about her health and figured she perceived me as a good guy. A year later I had emailed her again asking for her permission about creating prints of the painting i took of Cooper to sell. "Will i get royalties lol " she wrote.

She was joking and showed no objection with the project. Last week after not speaking or emailing her in more then a year i was cleaning up my email box and decided to email her asking how she was. A few days later i received an email from her " I was driving and to my surprise saw the Custom portrait of Cooper in a window-who gave you the right, i feel violated "

I emailed her the email that confirmed that i told her what i was doing. Still she replied "I have contacted a lawyer and want to know every store that has the print of my dog" Wow, i was shocked and felt betrayed. Not only was i nice to her when she was going through a rough time but for god sakes it was only a dog painting and had no problems about me creating prints a year earlier. Her excuses for causing me grief were lame. Moral of the story, always get things in writing and when cleaning up emails don't contact old dates !!!!

The pic posted is the infamous Cooper.

The gallery and our selection

"You are in the art business" Thats what i get most when people find out what im doing. Being able to offer people a wide selection of art from decorative art to fine art is what art pizzaz or http://www.artpizzaz.com/ offers. After a year at the the gallery i decided to really focus on online sales. Everybody says "Why don't you just sell online" easier said then done. Not only do you need an attractive selection and an site that is user friendly but to be found on google can be quite a traumatic experience. Decorative art can be found on ebay ,So one better know exactly what they are doing and try to offer something unique and marketable. To incease my offering i created another website http://www.poppizzaz.com/ . Poppizzaz offers various custom pop art styles from photos. You can choose various stlyes like warhol style or cartoon style and we will create a masterpiece that makes for a geat personalized photo gift. All styles are done digitally except the oil painting style, which need i say is done in oils. Poppizzaz is more interactive then artpizzaz and each customer needs something a little different, which we are happy to do. There is no better feeling receiving an email of appreciation from a customer after his order is delivered . Custom and personalized pop art portraits from a photo is a passion that drives me and the staff on a daily basis. We actually just finished a custom portrait of a gentleman living in Denver. He wanted us to take 2 picures he sent and make it look as if it was taken as one. After many go arounds of manupulation we created a materpieceoil painting which he loved. The pic is ontop of the blog.

Frankie Boy-half dog half bat !!

He came to me into my life five years ago. My dog had passed four years earlier and i was getting an itch to have a best friend join me through lifes advenures. Not looking for a puppy i chose to go the rescue route. I had always been a lab man myself, but i now wanted to dog that made a statement. Being Active he would have to be an athletic breed, good with kids and trusting. The german sheperd bread came to mind- however so many people mentioned there inbreeding produced canines that can turn on their master on a moments notice gave me some reservations. "Blood soaked home finds man attaked and severly mauled by his german sheperd" But what about a mix breed, hmmmm that could be interesting. I found him at Blue ribbon german sheperd rescue. His name at the time Was Nike. He had been found on a highway in vermont and had since gone through 2 homes. It was love at first site. But those ears were beyond big, which made him the more loveable. I would have named him Marvin but did not want to deviate from his original name. I settled on Frank, I call him Frankie boy. A few years later i started http://www.poppizzaz.com/ a company that does custom pop art from portraits
and i did a custom portait of Frank . After i had a giclee made on canvas and added a caption. It hangs in my gallery and puts a smile on my face every morning in. The big eared, loveble, loyal, spolied best freind i have is a now pop art i cherish.
