Copy right and custom pop art

I had met her on a cold winter night. It was the month of February and ventured out on a Artic night to meet her for dinner. To my surprise she was even cuter in person then her picture. After a few glasses of wine and some laughs we decided we would go out again. We were supposed to meet the following week but she had come down with a bad cold but reasured me that she wanted to go out again "I really want to see you again but cannot move from my bed "

It was all good i thought, however after weeks of not hearing from her i began to worry. She did not respond to my emails and i was concerned that maybe she was very sick. It was a real mystery to me, we had fun and it was to the point where i told her it was ok if she had reservations but just wanted to know she was ok. A few months followed and she informed me that she had tumors in her stomach but after weeks of waiting for the pathology had found out thet were benign. We spoke and I was very sympathetic about her condition and what she had gone through. We finally met at the dog run with her dog Copper and told her i was going to take a picture of her dog and make a custom portait. She was excited since she was decorating her place and knew exactly where she was going to hang it. For some reason or other the painitng was done but she never picked it up. Months past and I emailed her telling her the painitng was waiting for her. Im my emails and conversations i always enquired about her health and figured she perceived me as a good guy. A year later I had emailed her again asking for her permission about creating prints of the painting i took of Cooper to sell. "Will i get royalties lol " she wrote.

She was joking and showed no objection with the project. Last week after not speaking or emailing her in more then a year i was cleaning up my email box and decided to email her asking how she was. A few days later i received an email from her " I was driving and to my surprise saw the Custom portrait of Cooper in a window-who gave you the right, i feel violated "

I emailed her the email that confirmed that i told her what i was doing. Still she replied "I have contacted a lawyer and want to know every store that has the print of my dog" Wow, i was shocked and felt betrayed. Not only was i nice to her when she was going through a rough time but for god sakes it was only a dog painting and had no problems about me creating prints a year earlier. Her excuses for causing me grief were lame. Moral of the story, always get things in writing and when cleaning up emails don't contact old dates !!!!

The pic posted is the infamous Cooper.
